October 19, Manila - The pioneer of the country's first electric jeepney fleet unveiled this morning an innovative battery swap scheme which its proponents expect "to dramatically improve the efficiency and revenue generation of eJeepney operators." Over thirty guests, including 22 British volunteers headed to Bohol on Friday for climate change solidarity work, graced the occasion.

Manila, October 5 -- The Philippine group which pioneered electric jeepneys in the country praised today Sen. Ralph Recto for "speeding up the country's transition to sustainable transport." The Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities, or iCSC, which operates the eJeepney fleet in Makati City, gave Recto the thumbs up after the senator delivered his sponsorship speech on October 4 of Senate Bill 2856, also known as the "Alternative Fuel Vehicles Incentives Act".

Panama City, October 5 - A battle-weary Philippine delegation quietly arrived in Panama with a vow to fight for the survival of Filipinos facing worsening climate change. At least three climate change-linked consecutive typhoons recently battered the country in a span of two weeks, resulting in damages reaching PhP 8 billion (USD 200 million).
