Emily is an environmentalist, feminist, and puppy enthusiast hailing from the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. She is in her final year of a double undergraduate degree of Social Science and Environmental Science at RMIT. Somewhat regretting having speed in Environmental Chemistry she is now further exploring the social-environmental fields with the hope that she has what it takes to be a badass social change maker. Committed with both head and heart to the climate change fight since ’09, she is particularly interested in how social justice can be realized simultaneously with climate change adaptation and mitigation.
Outside of work and study Emily usually bakes, makes and gardens her days away – and of course makes time for the occasional cheeky afternoon beer and a game of Yanif with some pals. She just completed a semester of exchange at the University of the Philippines Los Banos, under the Australian Government’s New Colombo Plan, and is stoked to be working with iCSC for the remainder of her program. Her favourite merienda will always and forever be turon.
